How do I install PushPage? To install PushPage, follow the steps below:

  1. Download PUSHPGxx.EXE from our web site.
  2. Run PUSHPGxx.EXE. It will expand into the install program.
  3. Choose a directory to hold the install program files. The default folder is your Windows temporary directory
  4. Go to that folder and run SETUP.EXE
  5. Follow the instructions in the install program
Note: You must reboot your computer after the install program completes before PushPage will run properly.

I have Internet Explorer 5.0.xxxx.yyyy. When I tried to install PushPage, it required that I upgrade to a later version of Internet Explorer. Why do I have to upgrade? PushPage uses a feature in Internet Explorer that was broken in early versions of Internet Explorer 5. There will be other advantages to upgrading as well, since Microsoft has fixed some security problems as well.

PushPage doesn't capture the text as expected. What can I do about it? There are several reasons why this might happen. They are:

  • Web Page has hidden or unexpected formatting Try selecting a larger or smaller portion of text and see if PushPage can capture the text correctly
  • Web Page is does not have a horizontal layout Some web pages have columns of information formatted as a single line of text with line breaks in it. PushPage will not display the text from these pages correctly. Try to find another web page offering that information formatted in as rows of text, or see if you can get the webmaster at that site to reformat that web page to use rows of text
  • Web Page cannot be interpreted by PushPage Send the URL to us at support@haruisoft.com. Describe the area selected so we can try out ourselves.

PushPage isn't working correctly. What should I do next?

  1. Download the latest version.
  2. Check the troubleshooting section in the PushPage Help.
  3. If all else fails, send email to support@haruisoft.com

PushPage sent the wrong text. Why would it do that? The most common reason is that the layout of the web page changed in a way that PushPage cannot find the correct area of text. Delete that schedule and re-select the area you want to send.

What kind of web pages don't work with PushPage? Web pages that do not produce consistent information when accessed via URL don't work with PushPage. For example, if information from a previous web page is needed to generate the web page you want to use with PushPage, PushPage will probably not be able to capture the correct text. The best test for this is to view another page, then go back to that page via the URL stored in your History. If that works, PushPage should work. If it doesn't send us the URL at support@haruisoft.com
